Top Reasons I Love Being a Real Estate Agent

  1. The people. As a type A personality I love to be around people. Having a career where I can talk to and be wit my clients on a regular basis is something that I thrive on. True, it can be challenging to meet the demands of clients at times but I’ve never been afraid of a good challenge. A happy client makes for a happy real estate agent.

  2. Time. As a relatively new grandmother, I have the ability to be flexible with my schedule which allows me to spend more time with my family, especially those angel baby grand kids. Although my career requires working nights and weekends when clients have the off work time to view homes, I still get the chance to live life to the fullest and be in control of my schedule.

  3. Earning potential. There are many careers where you can make good money but in most jobs, the more you work, the more work you get. A career as an agent grants me earning potential based on how smart and how hard I work. So if I work harder, I can earn more. And I get to control my own career advancement.

  4. Satisfaction. There is tremendous satisfaction in helping my clients to find their dream homes. And I get a lot of repeat business so I often see families grow and upgrade to bigger homes with their new babies. I also get the satisfaction of helping people downsize into their retirement homes and pursue their golden years dreams. I help people make life changing decisions and I genuinely care about them.

  5. Community. I belong to a group of people who have chosen the same career and rely on that network to be successful so they are primarily interested in lifting one another up. Especially at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ambassador. Additionally, I have my own real estate team, Priority Group that I get to lead and cultivate and , of course, lift up. Another community aspect is that it behooves me to be involved in the surrounding communities so I get to know my neighbors, small business owners and the like. We help one another out.

  6. I get to be me. I consider myself personable and fun and I wear my heart on my sleeve. Doing what I do allows me to be my genuine self. I don’t take myself too seriously and I love to play as hard as I work. Being my true self is important to me, especially in today’s society. And I get to wear multiple hats as an interior designer as well as an agent. That typically means that no two days are the same, and I love that.
